Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Giglo collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using Giglo, you agree to the practices described here. Giglo is operated by Giglo AI Ltd (company no. 517372710), Kibbutz Barkai, Israel, which is responsible for the personal information described here.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the Giglo platform and describes how we handle information about job seekers ("Workers"), businesses ("Employers"), and visitors.
2. Information we collect
Account details (such as name, email, phone, and password or Google sign-in); profile information (such as bio, location, skills, availability, expected pay, and photo); identity verification data when you choose to verify; activity on the platform (job posts, applications, hires, ratings, reviews, attendance and no-show records, and messages); and technical data collected automatically (such as device, browser, and usage logs). If you submit a form on our marketing pages (for example, asking us to find you work), we collect the details you provide, such as your name, phone number, and area of interest. If you purchase a paid plan (Employers), we collect billing details such as your plan and billing contact, along with a payment-method token held by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).
3. How we use your information
To operate the platform; match Workers and Employers; show relevant jobs and candidates; enable applications, scheduling, and communication; verify identities and keep the platform safe (including content moderation); send service-related notifications; improve our service; and comply with legal obligations. Matching is generated automatically using signals such as location and travel distance, availability, skills and experience, pay expectations, verification status, and a reliability score based on attendance and no-show history; this produces suggested matches and rankings shown to the other side. Where you have agreed, we also send updates and shift offers by WhatsApp or email, and we measure and improve our marketing.
4. AI processing
Some platform features rely on a Google AI model (Gemini) running as an external service. Text you write is sent for processing in three cases: when you ask us to draft or improve a job post; when free text in a post is converted into structured fields; and when we scan content — job posts, profile text and reviews — for material that breaches our platform rules. That scan may restrict content from being published or route it to human review. Information is sent only in order to carry out the requested action. Matching between Workers and jobs does not rely on this model, but on the signals described in the previous section.
5. Information shared between Workers and Employers
To make matches possible, parts of your profile are visible to the other side. For example, an Employer can see an applicant's profile, and contact details may be revealed to an Employer once an application reaches the stage that allows it. Do not include information you do not want shared. Once contact details have been revealed to an Employer they are in that Employer's hands — in their inbox or on their device, for example — and we cannot delete them from there. Our Terms require Employers to use the information solely to consider the application, but responsibility for that rests with them.
6. Service providers
We share information with providers who help us run Giglo, each for a defined purpose and only to the extent that purpose requires: Supabase — database, authentication and file storage; Vercel — platform hosting; Resend and Postlo — email and WhatsApp message delivery; Mapbox — maps and address-to-coordinate lookup; Sentry — error monitoring; Inngest — background job execution; Google (Gemini) — the AI model described in section 4, and Google account sign-in for those who choose it; Didit — identity verification; Cardcom — payment processing for paid Employer plans; Activepieces and Zoho — enquiry and lead management; Meta Platforms and Microsoft Clarity — advertising and usage measurement on our marketing pages; UserWay — the accessibility widget. Providers may process the information solely to provide services for us, and are bound by appropriate obligations.
7. Location information
If you provide a location or allow your device's location, we use it to center the map, calculate distance, and improve job matching. You can change or remove your saved location in your profile, or deny the browser location permission.
8. Identity verification
If you verify your identity, verification is handled together with a verification provider. We store the verification status and limited related details; we do not use verification data for purposes other than safety and providing the service. Verification is based on comparing the submitted document with a selfie, performed at the verification provider. We do not check criminal records, we do not check against the population registry, and verification is no guarantee of a user's honesty, competence or reliability.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to sign you in, keep your session, remember preferences (such as your language), and operate the platform; these do not require consent. On our marketing landing pages and within the platform itself we also use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, and Microsoft Clarity to measure advertising, visits, and site use; this may involve cookies and limited usage data shared with those providers. These technologies load with the page; you can block or clear their cookies from your browser settings, and you can use those providers' own opt-out mechanisms. Beyond cookies, we also store information in the browser's own storage: local storage (localStorage) keeps you signed in and remembers your preferences so you need not sign in on every visit, and session storage (sessionStorage) holds temporary data that is cleared when the tab closes. Both can be cleared from your browser settings or by signing out.
10. How long we keep your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Inactive accounts (no sign-in for 12 months) are deleted after a prior email warning. Accounts that are created but never activated are deleted after 3 months. Data from completed jobs, applications and conversations is deleted or anonymized after about 12 months, and security logs after 12 months. Information we are legally required to retain (such as financial records) is kept for the period required by law. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Secure backups are retained for up to 14 days, and deleted data is removed from them within that period. Identity documents you upload during verification are never stored by us. They remain with the verification provider, and we keep only the verification outcome and its date. When an authorised staff member needs to view a document in order to resolve a query, it is fetched from the provider at that moment and is not saved on our systems.
11. Your rights and choices
You can access and update most of your information in your profile, and you can delete your account. Subject to applicable law, you may also request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Children
Giglo is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
14. International transfers
Your information may be processed by us or our service providers in countries other than your own. Where it is transferred, we take steps consistent with applicable law to protect it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If you continue to use Giglo after changes take effect, you accept the updated policy.
